My boy wants to get a capture card/device that he can run on his netbook to capture and make YouTube videos. Knowing nothing about this and not wanting him to waste a load of money I thought I would ask if any of you use one, your thoughts and the price, don't really want him spending anymore than £50.

capture cardds can be very expensive! especially the HD ones. best thing is to look em up on the internet and do your research. They are widely associated with COD and things so look it up on utube

No experience myself but I used to assist at www.thewgl.co.uk and they have a video site for there leagues (www.wgl.tv I think) pop over there and PM one of the video makers and they should be able to held Peepoduck/Lisaface is always friendly if shes still over there and most are decent guys and gals.
