As FIFA 11 seems to be top of the Raptr games played online by people on here, i propose a mini private Crankygamer league if theres any interest?

Im being honest when i say Im not very good, but everytime i play online i seem to get inundated with voice messages from 12 year olds telling me they need a goalkeeper etc for their team

Im willing to set this up/host it and see how it goes. Keep things to a minimum if folks are pushed for time ie 2 minute halfs. Even if theres only a few teams entered, if we play each other twice it wouldnt last too long. If its a success maybe we could carry it over into FIFA 12 or create an online team?

OK i need to get something across here, and put a few things straight.

first of all PG, feel free to start any league you want, and in fact I encourage it.

what I'm going to put a stop to now I think, as its gone on long enough, and that is linking to other places that have in particular, there own podcast's, gamernights and other things that are similar to what we have here.
sorry guys but as you know people on here work hard, and have worked hard to keep gamer nights going, well to simply point to another site is just ridiculous really.

And here's why....we have here a genuine new user, who has a great idea, and immediately pushed away to another site, now I want to say Darkest that is not your fault and is in no way at all anything against you personally.
but it just i think clearly shows, the way its gone on here for to long, and is now probably why we are having trouble getting gamer nights going to how they once were.


So guys please refrain linking to sites that are taking away from our own stuff here.
if anyone does want any link outs, contact me first, as I do allow it within reason.

so in answer to PG and everyone else out there, feel free to make any gamer night or specific game leagues, like I say it's what we want.

ok toz, sorry i wasnt aware.

I had a little play last night and set one up anyway, so theres one there if people are still interested. Ive not done this before so am not 100% sure how it works, but if people want to set a specific time, day etc then feel free to reply. Im good for Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and most Saturdays and Sundays around 8.30 pm (When kids have gone to bed) Like i said previously, at the start i suspect it will only take up around 15 minutes of your time once a week, if it gets more serious we can take it from there

Although im used to playing with myself at the minute (the wife is pregnant ) I would like to be involved in something like this, even if its not me sorting it out. (rather than playing with complete randoms)



the league is crankygamersuk, i have the password for anyone serious about it, or i can invite personally if we are already xbox "friends"

Sorry Toz. I was in no way meaning to take people away from the site. All it is is most of the cranky gamer FIFA players have always since day 1 on FIFA 10 played for ruffians fc which we saw as being the cranky FIFA team and are all regular posters on the cranky site ( lol ). And most of the team are also regulars on the cranky gamer nights aswel so was just trying to let him know. Sorry for any trouble caused and of course no offence is meant by this post and none taken from your own reply.

I will give it a go, I never seem to see many of the people on line when I sign up to these, I will give it a shout out on the show this week for you.

Thinking about it maybe a cranky team would be more favourable? Playing other online teams. (eg ruffians Fc ) People could opt in or out as they see fit (or if/as we get new forum members wanting to play) and they dont have to be online every time with the consequence of losing a match

I didnt mean to start anything untoward here, im a noob, was just suggesting something off the back of the podcast. (ive only listened to a couple) I wasnt aware of any other team, or site.

There doesnt seem to be any real interest anyway (with over 100 views and only 1 taker), so im happy to jump on board any other future gamer nights if i have the required game.

I'm interested too but I can only make it on a tuesday, maybe fridays and saturadys but only after 12am.

I will be up for playing in as many leagues as possible when the new FIFA come out (don't have 11)
