best thing to do is view some youtube videos from people who use a capture card and msg the people uploadin the videos and ask what ones they use. that way you can have a look at the quality the capture card is, take into consideration that it wont be spot on with it being on youtube

I watch videos from YouTube a fair bit. Some of the most viewed vids on YouTube are call of duty commentaries. I know from watching a few they all use a HD PVR http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/7791395/Hauppauge-HD-PVR-High-Definition-Video-Recorder/Product.html
I know it's expensive but it's HD where the dazzle isn't.
I have dabbled with the idea of getting one to make gaming tips/ reviews, but I don't really have the money.

guys, I have a capture device right here doing nothing, if you go to our cranky gamers youtube channel,i think there are some videos in there taken with it.

anyone want to make me an offer feel free.

one very important thing guys, its a pain in the ass, all to do with the xbox 60htz signal, and f you do not buy the correct tool, and believe me there are a hell of a lot of capture devices that claim to do it, and do not.
also i will say it was a real pain to do, outcome was OK.

I have been tempted with doing some more new video game filming review styles, but using my HD video camera, see what that comes out like.
but anyway, let me know if anyone interested.

EDIT

lol just fetched a video made with it.funny how things were done then.....i personally think it is OK quality, given it was a dark game and dusk to.

I may give it another go and save it for you guys and put it up on here see if the software has got any better.
