I'm thinking of picking up a wii. I'm not interested in the crappy party games that are on it. I'm interested in downloading some virtual console games, quality first party nintendo games and some of the more adult orientated titles on the console.

Do you guys think that it's worth me picking one up for just that or do you think i'll get bored of it inside a month?

I went to ASDA earlier and saw a bundle for £167. It included the wii, mario kart, wii sports resort and some accessory kit. Mario Kart is great on it! I'll put my friends code up on the forums once i've had a better go on it.

And I was just about to try to talk you out of it too. I hope you aren't expecting much more from it.

I bought one way back for super mario galaxy, great game, after I played that to death I rarely played the Wii again, was never keen on the control system, gave it away several weeks back. Apart from mario Kart, I found that nothing new was released that interested me so ultimately lost interest.

I had one a few years ago but got bored of it pretty quickly.

I may pick a new one up at that ASDA price tho thanks for the heads up.

I must be in the minority, becasue i actually really enjoy playing on the wii. I can really recommend Super Paper Mario.

I think the Wii really works as a second console that doesnt get played as much. There are games out there for it such as A Boy And His Blob, but becasue they dont get marketed, nobody knews about them

Super Paper Mario is a genuinely funny game, & I loved House of the Dead: Overkill too. There are probably only about 2 or 3 good games a year that come out for the Wii and a load of rubbish, so it probably feels worse then it is. It's not really aimed at the likes of us here. As long as you have a 360 or PS3 as your main console you'll be all right. Just expect the novelty of the Wii to wear off pretty quickly.

I'm sure we could point you in the direction of the good games. They should be pretty cheap to pick up too.

Yeah exactly, there are good games to keep you entertained, i just think it gets a bit of bad press at times the Wii, but i suppose i got a Wii late on so i had lots of games to catch up on. People who bought one on launch would probably havealready played them. I dunno lol i like it...

You're making me want to go put the Wii on now. Hmmm? Wii or Modern Warfare 2 on the 360? What have you done to me!!!!?????

Ive still got Paper Mario to finish. Been playing that steadily for weeks now lol, little bit before bed every night and its quality
