Is it worth getting a wii component cable?

I know that a component cable isn't going to make my wii HD guys, it's just that the picture looks awful on my LCD tv. It flickers and shows every imperfection in a way that a SDTV does not.

Has anyone bought the component cable and is it a decent improvement?

I'm thinking of picking up a wii. I'm not interested in the crappy party games that are on it. I'm interested in downloading some virtual console games, quality first party nintendo games and some of the more adult orientated titles on the console.
Do you guys think that it's worth me picking one up for just that or do you think i'll get bored of it inside a month?

I found this on Gamespot.com -

"When Nintendo originally unveiled the Opera Web browser for the Wii, known as the Wii Internet Channel, it offered the program for free. However, Nintendo later announced that the browser would cost 500 Wii points (£7.50) after being available gratis for a limited time.

Today, Nintendo announced that the Internet Channel is once again available on the Wii Shop Channel for free--and will cost nothing for the rest of the Wii life cycle. Users ...

Good lord, just used Active for the first time on high intensity It gives you a good cardio workout which I never really got with Wii Fit with exception of the running on the spot..

I challenge anyone who's not worked out for a while to say Active doesn't get your heart rate up! I'm going to do the 30 day challenge so will keep everybody up to date with how I get on..

I've cut out all snacks for the last two weeks and eating lots of fruit and veg..

Here's my stats:

The actual game, GST, perfect according to my brother, he bought it on saturday, hasnt been off the wii since.

The wii motion plus, , it just doesnt "go," it does really work with the game. He had to start playing it without the motion plus to make the game easier, and is now hoping the extra £20 isnt gonna go to waste with other WM+ games(the bundle was £50)

it doesnt mimic his movements in the slightest, his hand would be to the right, but the tennis racket will be on ...

So I now know that to go with my brain age of "50" (thanks ds) I now know that I have a fitness age of "57" THANKS NINTENDO

The kids and Wife loved it, and I was impressed with the boards controls. Skiing is fun and watching people do the hulu

Anyone with kids, would really recommend getting it.

Anyone tried this on the Wii? I love it although it is a really frustrating game. It's a little like Pong crossed with Amplitude. You have to deflect balls using a bat on the left hand end of the screen. as you do so a tune is played against a backing beat. It's only 600 Wii Points and I'd highly recommend it. Check it out the vid below:

Its been announced that EA will be supporting the new MotionPlus controller with at least 2 of its sport titles - Tiger Woods 10 and EA Grand Slam Sports Tennis

Now the big surprise! (note sarcasm)... Both the Tiger & EA Tennis games will contain the motion plus as a bundle for £49.99. You could see that as EA/Nintendo only charging £10 for a next best thing in motion sensing hardware - Or alternatively EA learning how to make millions by shipping a piece of plastic with a below average ...
